In the United States, Patriot Day occurs on September 11 of each year in memory of the people killed in the September 11 attacks in 2001. MCSD will be closed on September 4th in observance of Labor Day. Labor Day pays tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers and is observed on the 1st Monday in September. MCSD permanecerá cerrado el 4 de septiembre para celebrar el Día del Trabajo. We are delighted to introduce Bridgett Barley, who will be joining Irrigon Elementary School as the SPED 4th-6th grade teacher for the 2023-24 school year! Bridgett's educational journey includes degrees from Western Governors University and Eastern WA University. She has a Special Education Graduate Endorsement, MA in Teaching K-8, and a BA in HR & Business Management. Originally from Palm Springs, CA, she finds joy in baking with sourdough, cooking, growing sunflowers, and watching her sons play lacrosse. Bridgett's culinary favorites include iced mochas and exotic cheeses. With previous teaching experience in various settings, she's excited to be back in a school environment and build connections with students and colleagues. Outside the classroom, Bridgett hopes to learn Italian and take cooking classes in Italy someday. With her family and baking hobbies, she's ready for a fulfilling year. ¡Estamos encantados de presentarles a Bridgett Barley, quien se unirá a la Escuela Primaria Irrigon como maestra de SPED de 4º a 6º grado para el año escolar 2023-24! La trayectoria educativa de Bridgett incluye títulos de Western Governors University y Eastern WA University. Tiene un respaldo de posgrado en educación especial, una maestría en enseñanza K-8 y una licenciatura en recursos humanos y gestión empresarial. Originaria de Palm Springs, CA, le encanta hornear con masa madre, cocinar, cultivar girasoles y ver a sus hijos jugar lacrosse. Los favoritos culinarios de Bridgett incluyen mocas heladas y quesos exóticos. Con experiencia docente previa en diversos entornos, está entusiasmada de regresar al entorno escolar y establecer conexiones con estudiantes y colegas. Fuera del aula, Bridgett espera aprender italiano y tomar clases de cocina en Italia algún día. Con su familia y sus pasatiempos de repostería, está lista para un año satisfactorio.

New this year! Parents will be able to pay ASB and other fees through the parent portal - select "school store" to see what items are currently available for your student's building. ¡Nuevo este año! The new school year is fast approaching! We have a new registration system and will be sending online registration instructions to all existing families through email the second week in August. Families new to the district will need to go into the building to start the registration process. ¡El nuevo año escolar se acerca rápidamente! Parents / Guardians can access the teacher request forms at the main office in each elementary school beginning May 16, 2023. Request forms will need to be turned in on or before May 30th to be considered. Please remember requests are not automatically guaranteed as we must consider the individual academic, behavioral and social-emotional needs of each student and the overall well-being of all students. Los padres / tutores pueden acceder a los formularios de solicitud de maestros en la oficina principal de cada escuela primaria a partir del 16 de mayo de 2022. She has worked for Morrow County School District for three years. Debbie is described as an exceptional assistant in the Title 1 room, always demonstrating competence with a friendly attitude and pleasant demeanor to both students and staff. She is very self-motivated and independent, successfully interacting with students during lessons. “Debbie is 100% for the kids of Irrigon Elementary!” -- 🌟 ¡Felicidades a Debbie White de Irrigon Elementary! 🍎 ¡Felicitaciones a nuestros ganadores del Premio Crystal Apple del Distrito Escolar del Condado de Morrow!
