Every Day Matters! Students with regular school attendance are more likely to succeed in school and beyond. Coming to school regularly also helps students connect with their peers and teachers. If you or a child you know needs help getting to school, talk to your school counselor or administration.

MCSD will be closed on September 2nd in observance of Labor Day. Labor Day pays tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers and is observed on the 1st Monday in September.

In case you missed it, we hosted our THIRD annual Multicultural Night here at Windy River Elementary. Since its beginning, Multicultural Night has allowed for families to engage with the school, encouraged folks to learn about cultures different than their own, and challenged students to demonstrate their knowledge in a variety of different ways.
When asked about how this event impacts students, 4th Grade teacher Paige Grieb responded with the following:
"I think this event impacts the students because they get to learn about just how different the world is from our small corner of it. It allows them to explore the globe without having to leave! I also think it allows for them to express themselves; it gives all the students a chance to showcase their skills within their own project."
