Morrow County School District deeply appreciates the generosity of our community members, businesses, and organizations whose contributions enrich the educational experience of our students. To ensure financial transparency, equity, and compliance with state auditing standards, the District adheres to a formal process for accepting all monetary and tangible gifts.
We have a long standing partnership with Bank of Eastern Oregon to do school supply drives each summer / fall. This partnership supports all Morrow County communities equally as there is a Bank of Eastern Oregon branch in each community.
Other club and athletic fundraisers are run directly through the related building and team and should always have payment directed to that specific school and program.
Because we are unable to ensure the security of funds collected through third party crowdfunding platforms such as GoFundMe, Kickstarter, Indiegogo, etc. we will not authorize any activities done on these or similar platforms.
By utilizing official District channels, you ensure that:
Transparency: Every dollar is tracked through public accounting records and annual audits.
Equity: Donations are distributed in a way that supports District-wide goals and complies with regulatory requirements.
Protection: Staff members are prohibited from managing District-related funds in personal bank accounts or third-party apps to prevent any appearance of financial impropriety.
If you are contacted by an individual claiming to represent the District via a third-party fundraising site, please contact the District Office immediately to verify the legitimacy of the request.
